I will bet you watch this video and won’t believe how much goes into making just one carbon fiber panel.  The video below shows the majority of the process behind how BMW has the carbon fiber roof for the E92 M3 produced.  The great thing is how much automation has gone into doing it, from weaving the carbon fiber to a finished part, there is very little human touch (at least not shown):
