Months succeeding Oprah’s notorious series finale after 25 years of interviewing celebrities, heroes and more, the queen of daytime television sat down for yet another interview with famous designer Ralph Lauren at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Rather than taking notice to the star studded audience, which included people like Matt Lauer, Diane von Furstenberg, Michael J. Fox, Jerry Seinfeld and more, what really caught our eye were the carbon fiber chairs Ralph And Oprah were planted on.
The chairs, named RL-CF1, are actually from Ralph Lauren’s home collection. The chair was introduced back in the Fall 2003 home collection, and starts at $17,250. It was originally inspired by the beauty of Lauren’s own McLaren F1 car, which as you may know, is made of carbon fiber.
While Oprah may not have even known what a luxurious chair she was sitting in, we sure did. The event that night raised more than $7 million jointly for Lincoln Center and the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention.
