Soon enough every kitchen appliance will be available in carbon fiber, then all we’ll need is the actual kitchen to put everything in to complete our fantasy. But for now, this new “Plum Stool” designed by New York industrial designer, Alvaro Uribe, would look great in just about any room.
Alvaro Uribe was born in Miami, Florida and later moved to New York City to pursue a career in design. He graduated from the Pratt Institute with a BA in industrial design. He currently lives and works in New York City.
At just 300 grams, this 100% carbon fiber stool is indestructible. The stool can be easily described as a carbon fiber seat with two bent legs. Inspired by the structure of leaves, the Plum stool is organic and natural. It was created during Uribe’s exploration into the merging world of carbon fiber and residential furniture.
Now back to our carbon fiber kitchen fantasy…we’ll take the Carbon Fiber kitchen collection from Gorenje Ora-Ito, which includes a Carbon Fridge/Freezer, a Carbon Induction Hob, a Carbon Wall Freestanding Hood and a Carbon Multifunction Built-in Oven. Then we’ll add a custom carbon fiber TV and table base/support from Choate Carbon and we’ll finish it off with four carbon fiber Plum Stools. Sounds perfect to us, what do you think about a complete carbon fiber kitchen? Let us know!
