The Consumer Electronics Show is a conference held every year for companies to show off their latest and greatest in consumer technologies.  It just so happens to be going on this week.  One of the neat things announced this year is a new gaming mouse from EVGA (Thanks for the tip on Twitter Open1Your1Eyes0!) called the TORQ X10 Carbon.  Before we get into it, keep in mind that it’s not out in the market yet, and all EVGA is saying is that it’s “Coming Soon”…so if it sounds like something you need to get your hands on, prepare to be patient.
The TORQ X10 Carbon was designed from the ground up to meet the needs of a hardcore PC gamer, using high quality materials. Â Of course you’ll find real carbon fiber on the surface, but also Omron switches, a full metal base, a silver coated USB cable, nickel USB connector and Avago 9800 laser.
While EVGA may not be known for gaming mice, they have used their expertise in hardware and software to expand into this new category. Â This has been a year in the making.
The mouse design is ambidextrous (support left and right handed gamers). Â The Avago 9800 laser provides 8200 DPI, which looks to be fully customizable with the software:
Along with that, the internal LED is fully customizable as well, allowing you to change colors and brightness. Â There is even a weight control system so you can customize the weight of the mouse.
This isn’t the first carbon fiber mouse we’ve seen, take a look at the Raven from Silverstone, which is no longer made by the way. Â Stay tuned, we should be seeing this out in the marketplace very soon.
