Ever since Apple released it’s coveted iPad device, we’ve had tons of people request a carbon fiber case for it.  While XGear was quick to the Shuffle with it’s Shadow carbon fiber leather snap-on iPad case, it didn’t use the real thing.  Now we’re happy to bring to you the Ion CarbonJacket sleeve for the iPad:

As you can see from above, the case features real twill carbon fiber with a high-gloss shine.  The rest of the case is done up in a classy premium grade black sheep leather, giving it quite a unique look.  In fact, it matches their other products quite well from the carbon fiber and leather mousepad to the carbon fiber and leather iPhone 3G/3GS case (look for an iPhone 4 carbon fiber case soon!).

Ion did a magnetic lid flap wrapped in black leather on the opening to help ensure the iPad stays in place.  The inside of the case offers additional padding, and you’ll even find a bag for this case that comes with it…that’s right…a sleeve for a sleeve.  Let’s face it, the iPad isn’t a cheap device, with the least expensive option starting around $500…getting a sleeve like this will make it so much more comfortable to travel with, and it uses real carbon fiber.  People may be more impressed with the case than the iPad itself!
