A week ago to date, the most luxurious sled was introduced, in due time for one last winter blast. The Hublot sledge (yes, that’s the name) is made from carbon fiber, steel, hand-sewn leather and ash wood. Combined efforts of the Swiss luxury-watch brand Hublot, and the Lausanne University of Art and Design (Ecal), produced this one of a kind snow toy.
Hublot, best known for their “Art of Fusion” philosophy in watch creation, has just recently started to really diversify their inventory with skis and bikes, and now a sled.
The Hublot sledge utilizes carbon fiber for its handles, steel for the runners, hand-sewn leather for the seat and ash wood for a more stable structure. Easy to maneuver and obviously way fast because of using carbon fiber, the result is…you are sure to go down the hill much faster than the neighbor hood kids dinky Target sled.
While the CEO of Hublot and the Director of Ecal introduced this product publicly on Feb. 2, 20011, this ultra limited edition sled will make its debut at the Alpine World Ski championships in Garmisch Partenkirchen, and will be limited to just 10 pieces.
