Move over traditional jet ski, because your cousin EXO just moved to town. The Exoconcept EXO, a new electric watercraft vehicle, was unveiled in September at the 2011 Cannes Boat Show.
Exoconcept, the company behind the EXO, praises themselves as a “company (that) works every day to reduce its CO2 footprint and targets a 100% recyclable EXO.” With this said, the EXO is said to release no emissions or noise pollution.
The EXO is available in two different finishes, a carbon fiber finish and the other with a reinforced ABS finish (which is actually available in four different colors). The carbon fiber one is obviously the more luxurious and high-end one of the two, equipped with the most powerful engine (7Kwh) and with exclusive optional features that can be personalized. Both are also available in several powers of engines starting from 3.5 until 7Kwh.
This new water toy runs on batteries and as previously mentioned, releases no emissions or noise pollution. Another plus side to being made out of carbon fiber, is the ease of transportability because it’s so light-weight. Take a look at the video below, featuring the EXO, to see how riding this differs from a traditional jet ski. It reminds me of the clean and green, Silveira Green Samba XRS brought to us by The Silveira Group, that we blogged about last summer. The two watercraft vehicles both have somewhat odd shapes and try their hardest to be eco-friendly.
Exoconcept has every intention of stocking water sport centers all around the world with the new carbon fiber EXO watercraft for their customers and they are currently working to put in place a sales network for official dealers. The first batch of deliveries is expected to be during quarter one of 2012 and you can pre-order yours today on the company’s website.
