It’s pretty crazy when you consider that there are only six Koenigsegg CCXR’s out there. Especially when Koenigsegg decides to make a limited edition version of the CCXR called the Trevita…with only three being produced.
Aside from being a ridiculously exclusive supercar, what’s so special about the Trevita edition? While Koenigsegg is renowned for complete carbon fiber bodywork, they’ve only been able to utilize the standard black look. With the Trevita, they’ve developed a proprietary diamond weave where the fibers are coated with a diamond finish. When we zoom up on the above picture you can actually see the weave:
As much as it looks like it’s texalium, it’s not. The process was fully developed in-house by Koenigsegg in their Sweden headquarters. The fiber is treated carefully in small quantities, prior to further processing the prepreg material.
Trevita is an abbreviation in Swedish and translates into – three whites, hence the three models that will be produced.
