Warning: This article will contain extreme bias. While I am obviously a sucker for all things carbon fiber, I am a real sucker for blacked out watches. So when I first laid eyes on this fittingly-named watch, the Ghost, I was smitten.
The Ghost, a 47 mm, pentagon shaped timepiece, is powered by a Swiss Quartz movement with a slight addition. The points of the pentagon are rounded, which adds to its unique style and overall sleek appearance.
While our favorite choice is the carbon fiber, the watch collection has an interchangeable bezel so it can be switched to one row diamond, plain, or even two rows of diamonds. The watch also features LED numbers and names, of up to five time zones, in a multitude of display colors including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and white. Which can easily be changed by the push of a button. The watches are water resistant up to 50 meters and come equipped with a vulcanized rubber band.
The collection was designed by Jacques Fournier from ‘Horology Design Ltd’ back in 2011 for watch company Jacob & Co. It can currently be seen on the wrist of their new brand ambassador Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo said, “On the set, I fell in love with the new Ghost watch. It’s a perfect fit for my lifestyle as I’m constantly traveling internationally.”
The elegant appeal of the Ghost Carbon Fiber Bezel will lead one to spend $5,700, before taxes and shipping, on the watch. (The diamond versions are double that price, if it makes anyone feel any better.) And at the time of this post, the Jacob 7 Co. website states that “Due to overwhelming demand, delivery time is approximately 30 business days”. I guess I am not the only fan of this versatile watch. You can order yours online directly from Jacob 7 Co.
