My New Favorite Wallet

I’ve been through all sorts of wallets and money clips, and I’m really picky.  I want to make sure what I’m using is functional, but also as minimal as possible.  That’s why we brought on the HuMn carbon fiber wallet, my new favorite!  It’s a little hard to grasp from looking at pictures, but watch the video on the product page (we’ll put one together soon as well) to get a true understanding of how awesome it really is.

Boeing completes certification testing for new 787 battery system

Boeing flew the LOT Polish Airlines production aircraft for almost two hours with two FAA representatives onboard. Boeing will gather and submit data soon in anticipation of clearance to return all 787s to service.

MAG Americas has introduced the 7-axis BMI Viper automated fiber placement (AFP) machine to speed production of the composite structures on the F-35 Lightning II fighter jet.

Toray begins carbon fiber production in South Korea

Toray’s new carbon fiber facility in Gumi will produce 2,200 tons annually, to be followed next year by a second 2,500-ton plant.

U.K. group to fund six composites feasibility studies

The Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Composites at the University of Nottingham is providing £50,000 to each of six studies, covering automation, preforms, weave geometries, recycled carbon fiber and more.

That would be Capitol Hill: Officials of the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering are partnering with seasoned inside-the-beltway operatives from the American Composites Manufacturing Assn. to lobby Washington on behalf of the composites industry.
