It’s that time, the predecessor to the Lamborghini Murcielago is finally here…and it’s called the Aventador.  The $370,000 supercar is already reportedly sold out, and for good reason.  The Aventador is 9% more powerful, has 20% better fuel efficiency and is 5% lighter.

As amazing as the car looks on the exterior, it’s really what’s inside that excites us.  Lamborghini used a carbon fiber reinforced polymer monocoque:

The actual monocoque itself only weighs 324.4 pounds, definitely playing a large role in the weight reduction.

That’s cool and all, but this is the picture that really got to us:

Lamborghini Aventador Forged Composite emblem

It looks like the emblems for the car are made using Forged Composite which we’ve written about in the past.  A picture on the final car makes it hard to tell whether or not the forged composite version made it into production, so if anybody could verify that please comment.
