Yesterday Apple officially announced the iPhone 5.  There are a number of improvements from a hardware and software perspective, but one thing in particular came across our radar.  For the release, Apple came out with an official video, where they give a little insight into the manufacturing process.  Trym, one of our Facebook fans, noticed that Apple was using carbon fiber robotic arms during the manufacturing process.  You can watch the video on Apple’s page (we’ll embed it here when they post it to their YouTube channel), but otherwise here’s a screenshot of the arm…how cool is that?

By the way, if you plan on picking up an iPhone 5 and would be interested in a carbon fiber case, we plan on carrying quite a few different options as they are developed and released to market.  Head over to this page and sign up to get notified with any updates, news, previews pictures, etc.
